For the carriage of bicycles:

  • In the case of Main Line trains, you can carry your bicycle for free as hand luggage if the wheels are removed and it is carried in a special bike bag. You can also carry it without removing the wheels in the bicycle space of some Main Line trains or in the goods van.
  • On some TGVs, the SNCF has fitted out a space that can house 4 bicycles. The price of reservation is €10.

For these services, you must buy all of your tickets from the same sales channel (Ligne Directe, station or boutique).

2Carriage of luggage

Only take the luggage with you in trains that you can easily carry and stow in the spaces provided for the purpose.

Take care not to impede circulation in the corridors with too bulky luggage or too many items.

3The left luggage offices in SNCF stations

Due to the application of the Vigipirate plan, the left luggage offices of all the stations are closed, with the exception of the left luggage offices of Parisian stations equipped with an anti-explosion system.

However, these left luggage offices can also be closed at any time if the minister issues a decision for security reasons.
